Welcome to the Communications and Creative Services department. We are here to help you to communicate what you do and to elevate content from your SPS program, department and/or division. Please use this page to learn more about the resources we offer and to submit a service request.
Communications
The Communications team provides writing and social media support to SPS programs, departments, and divisions. Examples include blog posts, articles, website content, program one-sheets, newsletters, photo essays, and social media posts. Programs are encouraged to create their own content, and the Communications team is here to revise, enhance, copy edit, and distribute.
Creative Services
The Creative Services team provides design and production services to all of the divisions at the school, from prospect marketing through alumni communications. Our support services include print and digital design, promotional item sourcing, event dress creation, print and fabrication management, and related services. We work closely with the content, marketing, and recruiting teams.
Events Management
The Office of Events Management (OEM) supports a broad array of in-person and online events, both domestic and international, ranging from programmatic to large-scale and complex school-wide initiatives with high-level stakeholders. These events are driven by strategic purpose and strive to grow SPS, enhancing community and the brand experience of the School and related constituencies. Most often, events supported by OEM are high-impact and involve a degree of complexity in planning.
Media Production
The Media team designs, produces, edits, and helps distribute media for the school and beyond. The team's work generally can be classified into three categories: instruction (e.g. course media), events (e.g. live streams), and promotion (e.g. marketing videos). Its clients and collaborators have ranged from SPS instructors to other schools at Columbia University.
Web Development
The Web Development team provides website infrastructure and support across the school's three websites, covering all programs, including degree, non-degree, Summer Session, Pre-College, and the ALP.
