How do you write a podcast script? How do you create an audio experience? This workshop will
cover scripting: what it means to write for the ear, crafting segments, creating narrative shape,
and practical ways you can script to ensure a smooth recording and editing process. The
workshop will also explore ways you can incorporate rigorous research into your script for
academic podcasting. A Zoom link will be emailed to registrants, shortly before the workshop.
This workshop is part of the Podcasting Workshops series (online and in-person), led by Film + Media Studies graduate student Emily Ko, currently Digital Audio Intern in the Music & Arts Library. Workshops are open to current Columbia students, faculty and staff.
