Conflict, persecution, climate change and economic collapse have resulted in forced displacement of tens of millions across the world. In this talk, Zaman will discuss the challenges faced by often neglected communities including those who “return” home, stateless persons who have never moved but are forced out by the state, and those who are displaced due to state collapse. While recognizing different contextual realities, he will focus on three common themes of trust, social network and regulatory environment and describe how we can ensure ethical and equitable access to healthcare for the forcibly displaced.
