The Science of Learning Research Initiative (SOLER) is pleased to present our next journal club event. This time, we will discuss a recent empirical study at the intersection of social psychology and education research with implications for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. One of our ongoing goals is to explore exactly what is meant by "the Science of Learning"; the research presented in this session's article can push us to contemplate a rather new angle, distinct from SOLER's work to date.    

The session will be led by John Thorp, a PhD candidate in Psychology who has served as a SOLER graduate student assistant since January 2022. John has also held Lead Teaching and Teaching Observation fellowships from the CTL.
