The Science of Learning Research Initiative (SOLER) is pleased to present our next journal club event. This time, we will discuss an essay from the most recent issue of The Chronicle of Higher Education that provides a compelling take on the emerging impact of ChatGPT and other AI chatbots.
With so many conversations around this topic happening this spring in our community, let's take a moment to consider the distinct goals of a SOLER-centered discussion: in our case, we can use the article to initiate a broad conversation about relevant research questions. In brief, we will ask what research SOLER and collaborators should conduct (and how to go about it) to understand and leverage the technology in our academic contexts.
