This workshop offers an introduction to recording using the inexpensive digital audio workstation software Reaper. We will get to know the software, basic recording techniques and equipment.
More info on Reaper, including info on downloading, is available at: https://www.reaper.fm/. Note that a 60-day free trial is available. No previous experience is required. Participants are encouraged (but not required) to bring their own laptops to the session.
NOTE: The workshop will be held via Zoom. Registrants will be emailed a Zoom link, shortly in advance of the session.
This workshop is taught by MFA Sound Art graduate student Ása Ólafsdóttir, and is part of the Music Technology Workshops Series, co-sponsored by the Music & Arts Library and the Libraries' Digital Scholarship program.
