Listening Tables Semester Wrap-Up

December 12, 11:30 am - 3:30 pm @John Jay Dining Hall - Free Lunch Provided!

Listening Tables is a campus-wide initiative run by faculty and students at Columbia’s Trust Collaboratory that provides our community with a space for dialogue on difficult and sometimes polarizing topics. Since the beginning of the fall semester, we have run over 45 table sessions, with hundreds of students participating in these conversations. Sessions are hosted by faculty, administrators, and student leaders. Registrations are preferred (link here), but walk-ins are always welcome. Free lunch will be provided at John Jay!

The tenor of our final session in 2024 will be to reflect together about campus life at Columbia this semester. We are eager to hear from students how their experience has changed since the spring. We also want to invite back students who have been recurring guests and learn if Listening Tables has changed how they approach dialogue on campus. Lastly, what are students’ concerns and hopes going into 2025, and what topics should we prioritize as an academic community?
