This workshop covers the basic object types and signal flow of graphical audio programming language Max/MSP (and the video component Jitter). We will discuss both audio and visual programming in this environment and how they can interface with each other.
It is highly recommended that you bring your own laptop with to the workshop if you would like to patch along. The software is not free, but has a 30-day free trial. (The software is also installed on the machines of the Digital Music Lab in the Music & Arts Library, for further exploration on your own time.)
The workshop will be held in the Seminar Room of the Music & Arts Library, 701 Dodge. Ask at the desk for directions to the Seminar Room.
