In this online workshop, there will be a basic overview of the Audacity software interface. Audacity is a great introductory tool for digital music production and audio editing, as it is free to download on both Mac and PC, and it has the ability to create fully realized music and audio works. Topics covered will include creating a new project, recording live music performance, editing audio, basic mixing, and exporting your final track. No prior musical or audio editing experience required.
Bringing your laptop with Audacity installed is recommended, but not required.
A Zoom link will be sent to registered participants, in advance of the workshop.
Taught by John Levee, graduate student in the MFA Sound Art program.
Open to CU students, faculty, and staff.
