The panel discussion "Czech Republic – A Hidden Economic Powerhouse to Be Discovered in Central Europe" examining the Czech Republic's opportunities for growth as the country invests in its future is next week.

Three Czech and American economists and bankers have accepted our invitation to look at the Czech Republic’s economy since 1989 and discuss its future prospects for growth, taking its rightful place in Central Europe and the EU:

JAN SVEJNAR, Richard N. Gardner Professor of Economics and International Affairs and Director of the Center on Global Economic Governance at Columbia University.

JACK STACK has almost 50 years of experience in banking. He was Chair and CEO of the Czech bank Česká spořitelna from 2000 to 2007. He then served as a member and Chair of the Supervisory Board of Česká spořitelna until 2021. He transformed the bank into a modern financial services provider.

TOMAS SALOMON, current head of Česká spořitelna, former Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of GE Capital Multiservis. He has also devoted himself to private investment projects and initiated the creation of a platform which implements mobile payments.
