Getting Started with Statistical Software (R and RStudio)
This three-part, introductory course teaches the foundation of statistical programming using R software. We provide R programming examples using real-world data that will help you make a connection between concepts and software implementation.
Sessions are open to all CUIMC faculty, staff, fellows, and post-docs. No prior computing experience or statistical knowledge are required.
Session 1 will cover importing data, examining data attributes, and manipulating data (creating new variables, stacking vs. merging data sets, etc.).
Session 2 will cover data visualization using versatile R plotting functions.
Session 3 will cover descriptive statistics, summary tables and basic statistical analyses (t-tests, ANOVA, chi-squared/Fisher Exact tests, regression)
