Room 215
Join us to experiment, break things, and imagine new possibilities. Data Club meetings are meetings, not workshops. An introduction to a bit of software is followed by opportunities to try the software in your own environment and on your own terms.
This session, we will learn about Marimo, a reactive alternative to Jupyter, similar to Observable notebookes in JavaScript, that allows for a cleaner and more ergonomic coding and versioning process.
Topics covered: Python, reactivity, Marimo
Data Club meetings occur six times a semester. Open to everyone in the Columbia community, these informal events typically start with a presentation on a specific use of data in Python, R, Julia, or JavaScript, then open up to questions, collaborative work, and discussion. Computation typically occurs within an online notebook workflow, and participants of all skill levels are welcome.
Please bring a laptop!
