SPS employees are eligible for free memberships to a number of professional-development organizations. In addition to the resources available to you at SPS, we encourage you to explore these organizations and the resources they offer in consulting, webinars, research libraries, and more. If you wish to actively enrich your professional life and improve your skills, explore the resources below.
- LinkedIn Learning: LinkedIn learning is a platform available to SPS employees that offers video-based courses on a wide range of professional topics in the areas listed below. We encourage SPS employees to explore LinkedIn learning courses to educate themselves on a variety of topics that can be useful in various professional environments.
- University Professional & Continuing Education Association (UPCEA): UPCEA is a professional-development organization available to SPS employees that specializes in professional, continuing, and online education. It offers professional-development courses in a variety of subjects, from marketing to budgeting to online education, and a number of its courses grant Professional and Leader Certificates. It also produces several publications, including a Weekly Briefing, the online journal Unbound: Reinventing Higher Education, and a blog. - Online Learning Consortium (OLC): OLC is an online community of people invested in improving digital education. SPS employees can access OLC’s webinars on online education and the OLC Quality Scorecard Suite, which allow members to evaluate various modules of digital learning.
