Schiff Room
About the Space
The Schiff room is a small classroom space capable of hosting up to 75 attendees – based on specific layouts. Refer to the space configurations below for specific layouts and associated capacity.
Cost
Cost is associated with the use of the Schiff space. Please note that UEM services are the standard for this space and are highly recommended for best practices. All SPS related events can only be booked through Instructional Support.
- Spring 26 & Fall 26 Pricing:
- Programs or departments will be responsible for providing a chart-string for the following:
- $1,000 for the first two hours and $200 for each additional hour needed
- Custodial and labor, which is billed directly by Facilities:
- Custodial: $75/hr. 2 hour minimum
- Labor: $83/hr. 2 hour minimum
- Venue manager fees will apply for weekend coverage beginning at 7am. Fee is an additional $75/hr

Cancellations & Last-Minute Changes
All cancellations follow University Life’s established cancellation policy (see below). Instructional Support is available to assist with submitting cancellation requests through the Zendesk platform and to answer questions, but the timelines and fees are determined by University Life.
UL Cancellation Policy
The following cancellation rules are set by University Life and are provided here for your reference:
- Cancellations made between 90–31 days prior to the event will be charged 50% of the total remaining event cost estimate.
- Cancellations made within 30 days prior to the event will be charged 100% of the total remaining event cost estimate.
Recommended Uses
The space is best used for small seminars, meetings, and food staging if used with other spaces in Earl Hall (Dodge and or Auditorium).

Technology
Earl Hall’s Schiff Room has one 72” screen and HDMI set up for meetings and lectures.
UEM services can be requested for a specific technology configuration if your needs require a setup beyond the in-house capabilities.
Direct Support
For any immediate issues or concerns with the space’s technology, please work with the Earl Hall staff stationed in the front of the main lobby. If any issues result in more intensive repair or solutions due to defective technology, the CUIT Erooms team will be contacted by the Earl Hall team for assistance.
