The purpose of the mark of Incomplete (IN) is to permit postponement of the final written work or exam for the course when incapacitating illness, serious family emergency, or other comparably grave situations require such postponement. Students may only receive an Incomplete grade after submitting an Application for Incomplete Grade through the Office of Advising on or before the last day of class. This document outlines the policy by which students may receive an Incomplete grade and the process that faculty, students, and advisors must follow to resolve the grade.
