CUIT Managed Computers
CUIT is committed to providing SPS officers of administration and support staff with tools to efficiently manage University facilities, operations, and services. It begins with your school issued desktop and/or laptop computers. Each device is imaged and configured to run optimally and provide the best possible protection from malware, viruses, or other malicious agents from compromising your data and/or identity.
In order for CUIT to provide the best level of protection, it is imperative that all CU/SPS computers are managed by CUIT, who can then provide the following services:
1. CUIT managed computers are consistently backed up, and can be restored in case of file deletion or computer damage/loss.
2. Continuously scanned for viruses, and cleaned as needed.
3. Computers are fully patched with the latest application and OS security updates, ensuring all CU security policies are met.
4. Remote desktop/technical support can troubleshoot and resolve issues from any location.
Standard CUIT Supported Hardware and Software
CUIT supports and recommends Dell and Apple hardware.
In order to procure a CUIT standard computer, each department needs to designate an authorized buyer and have access to a CUIT Dell Premier account. CUIT can assist with setting up this account. Once your equipment has been procured, the CUIT Desktop Support Team will assist you with configuring it to meet CUIT's standards.
